technology GRANT OVERVIEW
The Enlight Technology Platform grant is for organizations that engage youth or educators in a distinct changemaking program and who are looking for an online platform to organize, equip and connect their members.
All Technology Platform grantees receive free access to the Crew online platform for one year; 1:1 support for platform customization; and participation in an annual Community Engagement Gathering for all Technology Platform grantees.
1. THE CREW PLATFORM
A powerful and fully customizable online platform for movement leaders to equip, train and connect their communities of youth, educators and volunteers. The Crew Platform helps social movements and education programs amplify their reach, increase organizational capacity and deepen relationships. Becoming the hub for all member engagement needs. The Crew Platform features include tools to manage tasks, online training and education, reward badges, leaderboards and points, communications and online relationship building, etc. See the demo slider below to learn more.
2. PROGRAM DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION
The grant includes a 1-1 workshop designed to customize the platform to your organization's needs, optimize your youth engagement methodology, and train your program managers to take responsibility for ongoing platform management.
In addition to receiving ongoing support from the Enlight Collaborative team, we connect Technology Platform grantees throughout the year to share best practices and resources, and to nurture a community of support that delivers benefits well beyond the platform.
4. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT GATHERINGS
An annual in-person gathering to train and connect program managers who are the heart and soul of community engagement in their organizations. Travel and accommodations are included in the grant.
Grantees also have the option of requesting a half-day workshop for their team called "Difficult Conversations: The art and science of thinking together." The objectives of the workshop are to develop critical communication skills that allow us to build relationship and effectively collaborate across our differences. For organizations interested in the workshop, travel and related expenses for the workshop facilitator are also covered.
You mobilize, train or convene youth or educators in formal or informal changemakingn program.
Your program includes educational modules, online training and/or on-going youth engagement.
You desire your teachers/students/youth to be connected and share best practices with their peers.
You have a spirit of collaboration.
You’re ready and able to leverage online technology to facilitate all of the above.
